Just been out for the first time in our recently aquired ISO (603) great fun...could have done with more wind....We've got the bug and were thinking of going to the combined event at Felixstowe Ferry. We (self and son) are pretty inexperienced in the ISO, is this an event for us or should we wait and get more experience (don't want to monopolise the safety boat !) or should we just come for the blast and learn from the rest etc. Given the state of our spinnaker I don't think we would bother the rest of the fleet but just looking for some advice as to whether we should go....
Cheers

I don't know the water at felixstowe so can't advise on that, but you are always welcome to come and race.
Our first event was a complete disaster with last places for the whole three days, but by the end our boat was rigged properly and we had a lot better idea of how to sail the thing. This is the most friendy class you will meet so come along and have a blast.

Make sure you are there Neil. The event will ensure your boat is set up properly, it will help you put faces to names, you will see that we really are a nice friendly bunch. Loads of us will be there to help you with any questions you have....
If you turn up with no boat, then ok, but you WILL miss out.
Felixstowe is a good club with great racing. I have done two or three events there in the Laser 5000. Watch out for the golf balls as you drive along the road to the club through the golf course though!

I again Neil. If you can, please have a read through the ISO Help guides - if you haven't done so already that is. Might help you on the shore and out on the water for the event.
