I am assuming that the rudder stock, tiller and spinnaker pole are all painted? Or are they powder coated?
Whatever, the finish has blown / worn and I would like to recover it, so, does anyone know the colour? A RAL number would be best.
Has anyone "pimped" theirs to a different colour? Dayglo orange perhaps?
Thanks, Richard |

They are powder coated rather than painted, don't know the colour but have used car paint to repair before which seems to last reasonably well, i have used this on the jib 'chairs' and main jammer as well, the colours i have used on these are Ford Azure Blue, Ford Velvet Purple or Satin Black, usually decide on colour bu what i have in the garage at the time!! The rudder parts and space frame i have only used black or grey on, but Mike and Josh have a bright green and yellow mixture which stands out, Simons new Buzz has the metal parts in white.
Not seem a dayglo orange one before though!!

I like the idea of 'pimping', dayglo orange, practical (can be seen from afar) and shocking too. |

Pimping it though could be perceived as an unfair advantage and result in disqualification. |

Would that be because of the glare caused to other sailors? I'd better not stick on any "Go-Faster" stripes then!! |

I'd better cancel the chrome rudder and tiller then. |

Every mod approved if you can serve cask ale to other boats while sailing!
(Let me know where you sail if you do this!) |
