Does anyone know if it is possible to use a smaller main or reef the current main to use the boat when out with a crew who is learning to sail and get out on the wire? |

Somebody has mentioned a blaze main, but that might be for the Buzz. How about a Buzz main?
Thinking about it though, how can you trapeze when there is no sail area to produce the power to trapeze against?
Anyway Greg, as you are in Berkshire you will be pleased to see we have a training weekend planned at King George SC on the 28th & 29th June. First time trapeze artists are advised that they will benefit from this weekend. http://www.isoracing.org.uk/events_results/dedicated_pages/2008/2008_ training_datchet.htm

My son managed to get out on the wire after 2 or 3 times out sailing the ISO with full main and he is completely new to sailing, so my advice is go out in medium breeze settle on a beat and go for it! |

Seeing as both of you are signed up for the King George (not Datchet any more) training weekend, you can obviously see that you will not be alone with your level of sailing. This is what the training weekends are for! |
