Shoreham SC is running a 1-day open meeting on July 14th. Three races, first start not before 12.00. For those who have not sailed there before, Shoreham is on the Sussex coast, between Brighton and Worthing. It's an excellent venue - real sea sailing but you launch into the harbour not off a beach. For more information go to www.shorehamsailing.org.
On the Sunday (combined event run by Sussex YC) there is a long distance race from Shoreham to Black Rock (off Brighton marina)and back, for all-comers. This just over 7 miles each way, and a real blast if the wind cooperates.
Hope to see a good crowd there - we have been assured of some support from TASA, and are getting interest already from other classes including the 5000s.
